Eld/Izu’s guide to burglar in the raid.
This will be one of the more in depth guides since there are many varying degrees to which you can play this class in the raid. The first thing I will be doing is explaining a trait setup and then the corresponding rotation/use of it and the difficulty of doing it/when it’s ideal to use. The main yellow burg play in the raid is very simple and does not require much tactics anything past that is for additional dps/maxing out build.
Terminology: If I say Coup de grace+addle that means to use addle as an animation canceller
Coup de grace=CDG
Hide in plain sight=Hips
Touch and go= TnG
(for the sake of the visual length of this guide traits will be provided with a link rather than a picture.)
Notes before reading further: The burst rotations will include lots of animation cancellers and strictly following cooldowns. An animation canceller is a skill that cuts off the animation of the previous skill used allowing both to be used at the same time if not speeding up the previous skill. The skills that do this are hips TnG and addle all of which are heavily incorporated. If you are not using these then ignore the max burst rotation section under each trait setup.
Basic yellow burg things you need to know for raiding since yellow burg is primary burg role. Use your first enrage and then use trickster and then second enrage so that you get the most value out of your trickster timer. Make sure that double enrage+snag is kept up permanently for single target bosses. In aoe mob situations pop trickster and spam disable on as many mobs as possible. A secondary role of yellow burg is to help CC when required also. Exploit opening is a melee stun/FM your ranged CCs are riddle/startling twist.
Red/yellow Dps Focus
The purpose of this setup is especially for things such as raids where you wish to provide ample incoming damage while still dishing out plenty of dps. http://www.lotrottp.lotrostatus.com/l.php?c=72H This trait setup allows you to have full red dps while still applying a single enrage (you lose out on some significant dps from blue). With proper trait swapping and correct timing this is a good speedrun trait setup since you can apply double enrage for the beginning of this fight losing out on only the +3% incoming damage from snag and gaining the full dps of the burglar.
Max burst rotation:(for complete max, add in: all in - swap yellow - trickster) Stealth - Reveal weakness - aim - cunning attack - enrage - feint attack - subtle stab - double edged strike+TnG - flashing blades+hips - Ready and Able - Aim - CDG+addle - cunning attack - feint attack - subtle stab - gamblers advantage - flashing blades+tng after that continue doing feint attack followed by subtle then your crit chain skills then finish off and consume feint attack with cunning attack before using feint attack again. Save 2nd hips for when the first aim - cunning bleed is expired then hips - aim - cunning attack to renew the dev bleed preferably right as the first one is about to expire especially if you did an all in switch since it will be about to run out.
Normal rotation is just making sure you keep enrage up as much as possible and then using feint attack before you use your crit chain skills and then consuming feint attack with cunning attack.
Red/blue Overall burg build for pve
This is the primary setup for most pve dpsing as it has the highest dps trait setup while also including lots of CC http://www.lotrottp.lotrostatus.com/l.php?c=72J The trait Double down in blue line allows provoke to be chained with feint attack and turned into a daze attack that is guaranteed if you have the Gamble chance legacy and use provoke after feint attack. This will have some use in certain circumstances in the raid such as trash pulls before UO but blue/yellow may be better suited for that.
Max burst rotation: Exactly the same as red/yellow except leave out enrage and youll have more crit chain skills to work with and maintain constant crit chain hits.
Normal rotation is just a spam of crit chain skills always following feint attack for the damage buff and then consuming feint attack with cunning attack or provoke if you need a daze.
Red/yellow Support Focus
http://www.lotrottp.lotrostatus.com/l.php?c=72N This setup is for doing more dps than normal yellow line while still getting a close permanent double enrage. This is for certain contexts only since you lose trick disable and do not have permanent double trick up.
Max Burst rotation: Identical to red/yellow dps but refer to footnote 1 for additional skill and replace CDG with surprise strike.
Normal rotation is just making sure you keep double enrage up as much as possible and then using feint attack before you use your crit chain skills and then consuming feint attack with cunning attack.
Blue/yellow

With this setup + gamble chance legacy your provoke will almost always daze them and any target that has the provoke gamble on it, will make gamblers strike a guaranteed daze. This means that single target you have 2 daze skills with 5 second cooldowns and there is a 5 second daze graced period. And you also have an aoe ranged stun and enrage for extra damage while still possessing all the key parts of blue line.
Yellow/Red

Max burst/debuffing rotation: Stealth - reveal weakness - aim - cunning attack - enrage - snag - subtle stab - double edged+tng - flashing blades+addle - trickster - enrage - cunning attack - snag - subtle - double edged+hips - ready and able - cunning attack - flashing blades+tng - enrage - snag - subtle - double edged - flashing blades+hips - aim - cunning attack After that keep enrages up and spam snag and your crit chain skills as your main dps skills.
Normal rotation is simply keeping enrage up as much as possible/disable when needed and then spamming snag and your crit chain skills whenever possible since those do the most dps. Always pair aim with cunning attack.
